We have a highly skilled sales and production staff ready to meet your needs with
prompt and courteous service. Because all of our manufacturing processes are
performed in-house, we are able to handle service-related issues immediately. Our
customer service team will assist you with your order and be able to answer any
question you may have during production. It is our goal to provide you with
exceptional service from start to finish! Please do not hesitate to call - we are
here to help.
Our in-house art department has been creating graphic designs for over ten years.
We can take your ideas or offer our own presentation to create the labels and
tapes you desire.
Flexography, the printing process we use has different graphics requirements than
other printing processes, including offset printing. These guidelines will assist
you and your designers so that your labels can be easily reproduced on our
equipment. There is nothing worse than getting a file that was created by a
designer whose great design cannot be printed.
Macintosh computer systems are used throughout our prepress department. We do not
accept any mainstream applications in PC format. However, we have the ability to
convert PC files to Mac Format before outputting your file. Because of their
ability to move easily between Mac and PC platforms we suggest that whenever
possible, PC files are submitted in the following applications' format: Adobe
Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Quark Express, or Corel Draw (saved as eps AI
format).

 |

Important: Include all screen and printer fonts or convert type to outlines. |
 |
Note: For PC versions we do not have the same typefaces/fonts as are on the PC versions. |
When using files created in Corel, please convert all type to outlines, curves or
paths. Many artwork files incorporate "placed" or "imported" graphic elements.
Quality film output requires that all imported elements are also included when
submitting your artwork for printing. We discourage "embedding" linked files
since it limits our ability to maximize quality at press. For the best possible
results on your printed job, we strongly recommend preparing linked files as
follows: Text & graphic files are best prepared in "Vector" based applications
such as Adobe Illustrator, Quark Express. "Raster" based applications such as
Adobe Photoshop are best suited for preparing photographic images, scans etc.
Printing full colour images such as a photograph, requires separation into
Yellow, Magenta, Cyan and Black components. Images submitted in formats such as
RGB (red, green, blue) can change dramatically when converted. We print many fine
labels with 4 process colours or up to six spot colours here at Glenwood. On
electronic file jobs we usually do our own colour separation and trapping
in-house with a great deal of success in matching customer provided colour
samples. However, we cannot guarantee an exact match.
We can receive files via E-mail, Zip, CD, Jaz, and diskette. All file submissions
should include details on who is expecting your file and how they can reach you
with questions. E-mails over 10 megabytes are not usually recommended. Supplying
or Faxing a copy of your approved artwork allows us to assure the accuracy of our
output.
Please note: We do not recommend that the customer supply us their own
separated film negatives. The reason is that we would have no control over the
colour reproduction. If they insist, we will require a press proof for approval
prior to printing the order, at $300 plus charges for artwork and plates.
